KWU TUNG STATION ON THE EAST RAIL LINE

Project Background

A new railway station at Kwu Tung (hereinafter ‘KTU(EAL)’) will be constructed along the existing Lok Ma Chau Spur Line of East Rail Line (EAL), which will be an intermediate station between existing Sheung Shui Station and Lok Ma Chau Station, serving as the key public transport hub in the future Kwu Tung North New Development Area. Following the underground alignment design of the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line, the existing tunnel box will be modified and enabled in order to transform into a functional railway station to serve the population growth and transport needs of the Kwu Tung North New Development Area.

This dedicated website is prepared in accordance with the requirements in the Environmental Permit (EP)(EP No. FEP-06/129/2002/I) and is intended to enable public access to the project information including environmental monitoring data and submissions for the railway station at Kwu Tung on the East Rail Line.
